Rock Band DLC

Remember when I used to do this every week on LiveJournal? Did you hate it?

Too bad.

Here’s what will be released this Tuesday/Thursday, including a very pleasant surprise. I love it when Harmonix unearth old masters, and if they can introduce or enhance an under-represented genre, so much the better.

Otis Redding – “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” +
Otis Redding – “Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song)” +
Otis Redding – “I’m Sick Y’all” +
Otis Redding – “I’ve Got Dreams to Remember” +
Otis Redding – “Love Man
All Time Low – “Weightless
Alphabeat –”Fascination” +
Brian Setzer Orchestra – “Stray Cat Strut” +
The Chemical Brothers – “Let Forever Be” +

Songs marked with + are also available for use in Lego Rock Band.

A pretty cool week I think, and a far departure from last week’s Rust in Peace full album from Megadeth. Always a good move for those who aren’t fans of the previous week’s genre focus.

Note that “Stray Cat Strut” is not in fact the Stray Cats version. It is, however, still Brian Setzer (Stray Cats writer, singer and guitarist), and as the linked video shows, it’s pretty close to what you expect. Almost certainly a purchase for us.
