As I talked about yesterday, we went to see Weird Al in concert on Tuesday. I think I’ve also mentioned that I got a new camera? Actually I think I mentioned that in a post I haven’t finished and published yet. Okay, so important fact: I got a new camera. I’m a bit of addicted to taking pictures too, so take that trait plus new toy plus important situation I’m totally stoked about, mix liberally with great seats and lax security checks, and you get a huge pic spam that I’m now sharing with you.
And would you believe this is only about a third of the pictures I actually took? Well believe it. I love you so hard, digital age.
(The full-size of these pics is a bit big at 800×600. Helpful tip: In both Firefox and IE, you can press F11 to toggle full screen, which may help depending on your monitor size.)
Jim rocked this one.
By his nature, Al sorta draws your attention when he's out there.
But whenever I looked over at Steve he was being pretty hilarious. Really though they were all awesome.
We're coming to a montage section now, just snippets of assorted songs. If the outfit didn't give it away, this was "I'm in Love With The Skipper".
"eBay". I'm so thankful for this song, as I really like the music and arrangement, and I can listen to it without Backstreet Boys. This is what happiness feels like.
I don't remember what this one was but the picture cracks me up.
... and wait ...
... and wait ...
... to hold the harmonica.
Nice work if you can get it.
On to "Gump", with Al doing a few POTUS moves.
An awesome jacket to go with "Eat It".
Montage over and another costume change to "Craigslist". Again I have no idea how he didn't rip his throat to shreds.
Rubén and Steve having a blast on the keyboards. I probably spent most of the song watching these two crack each other up.
"Amish Paradise". One of my favourites, so great to hear it live. I was continually impressed that Al sounded EXACTLY the same live as studio.
Audience arm-waving participation.
